Organizations Better The World By Funding Nonprofits

The work done by nonprofits is pivotal to the everyday lives of normal people and to the success of our communities. Non-profits ensure a sustainable future for our world and its inhabitants. Their work could not be made possible without the lending hands of organizations that provide grants. Organizations like the Whole Foods, Google, and Islamic Relief USA make large contributions to funding grants for non-profits.
Perhaps the organization that makes the biggest impact of all though is Islamic Relief USA. IRUSA has been working towards creating a better a world for 25 years. They’ve worked with refugees from around the world, including Syria and Bosnia. They provided grant funding to organizations that provide refugee resettlement, food security and disaster response and preparedness, and health and service promotions.
IRUSA is a dedicated community of staff, volunteers, affiliates, supporters, donors, and partners that all share a single humanitarian goal, providing relief for Islamic refugees. Through multiple initiatives and fundraising projects, this group of collaborators makes funding for resettling and helping refugees a real and obtainable goal. IRUSA makes funding for projects regarding education, clean water, food aid, and so much more possible, helping people who didn’t ask to be displaced and deserve so much more!
Whole Foods gives back to local non-profits in the community by designating “5% days”. On these days, 5% of sales are donated to a local non-profit in the area of that store’s location. Whole Foods has partnered with local organizations like Habitat for Humanity. They also partner with FoodCorps and sponsor a School Garden Grant Program.
Google takes a slightly different but still very effective approach by matching employee donations between $50 to $12,000 every year. They also match donations acquired at employee-based fundraisers. Each year, Google Dot Org gives back $100,000,000 in grants to non-profits.
